MORE FROM THE ARTIST:
“Lost in December” Is a song written about that fuzzy feeling you get when you meet “The One”. It was written about a person who falls into another person’s life just at the right time. Although it may seem like a disruption to where you feel your life should be heading, questions arise, just as things are on the cusp of becoming serious. “Do they like me as much as I like them?” After literally 3 days of togetherness, tenderness, and all that other nice stuff that floods in at the start of a relationship, they both share that moment that squashes any doubts. They realize that all the work they have done previously on themselves has been so that they can be together. It’s actually an Autobiographical account of when our vocalist first met the Love of his life.
South of Summer first gathered together in early 2019 to see what glorious noises 5 guys from Manchester could make these days. We finalized our line up in July 2019 and continued to fine tune our alternative and grunge-infused sound. Years of bands past and songwriting merged and we soon had a set ready to be heard by the masses.
After months of build-up and some hotly received gigs around our hometown – including a headline show at Manchester Academy 3, we are unveiling our debut EP with lead track ‘LOST IN DECEMBER’ along with “GIVE WAY” and “CASCADE”. Our debut EP ‘December’ will be released, in a stroke of marketing genius, in December, and will be accompanied by an outright deluge of stuff from us – more gigs, new songs, videos, social content, merchandise and all that other good stuff to take us into a scorching 2020.
