“Descend” Vesper Woods, dark and enchanting

Vesper Woods new song “Descend” is dark and enchanting. From the opening synthesizers and vocals that sound like they are hidden behind a vail to the percussion that is layered in from one minute onwards, “Descend” is a grab for the heartstrings that isn’t misplaced.  Vesper Woods is stylistically reminiscent of classic hymns and lyrically will weigh heavy on the minds of women everywhere.  Vesper Woods new record Instar will tamper with your perspective on your own existence.  Instar will illuminate different concepts of reality in a way that will reach your sympathy.  Take a listen to “Descend” below!

You’ve most likely heard her voice on Kaleida tracks featured in John Wick, Atomic Blonde, CSI, etc – amassing over 45 million streams and touring the world with the likes of Roisin Murphyand Alt-J….Wood’s debut solo album, Instar is fueled by her experiences with fertility and reproductive health, and frustration at the lack of support and awareness surrounding women’s health. It’s due out March 1 and was recorded with producer Ali Chant (Perfume Genius, Aldous Harding, Soccer Mommy, Jenny Hval).
