girlhouse “happy now”

Classic guitar angsty pop is delivered authentically with the hooks lines and sinkers all in the right place starting with the classic indie rock lyrical content with describing traffic and cities that separate former lovers. Big punchy drums join in and bring “happy now” to a place where let’s say Olivia Rodrigo is to Paramore as girlhouse is to Avril Lavigne. I for one much prefer girlhouses cool emo sound more but that’s just preference. girlhouse makes me sad and nostalgic with “happy now” but its a feeling I wouldn’t skip out on. This artists career is starting to take off with tour dates and I’m pretty excited to have been covering her since pre- “Knuckle Tattoo”. Can’t wait for new tunes from girlhouse!
