Glom “Fungus”

Glom stays true to their dreamy yet gloomy indie sound with “Fungus” on La Reserve Records. “Fungus” is the third single from their sophomore EP Merit which is due out this fall sometime. “Fungus” comes from a deeply personal place and the rejection of being rejected which is a scary topic to touch in many ways. Written after a string of bad weekends which one can assume involves substance and romance. Props to Glom for covering such a difficult topic in their music as it is toxic and far easier to move on from rejection with any reflection. I was a big fan of the debut LP and stream some of my favorite tracks such as “Tell Me Who To Be”, “World Class Poetry” and “Walking” often. If “Fungus” and previous releases are any indication of the indie rock goodness that is to come this fall then sign me up!!
