The thing that really caught me in “Parachutes” by Jordan Mackampa was the vocal timbre and lovely melodies woven together on top of a organic sounding band. To me this is what Miike Snow would sound like if the project wasn’t so wrapped up in electronic sounds. “Parachutes” is an instant classic for me because of how the song really is a conduit for pure emotion and combines indie and R&B elements to make something really lovely and pure.
