Punchy driving drums from Andrew Dawson and epic indie rock vocals from Henry Camamile power through “Violet” by Sea Girls. “Violet” has a classic and familiar arrangement in terms of instrumentation and song structure as well as lyrical topic. Something I did find interesting was how nostalgic some of the synthesizer choices were for the 80’s while the also borrowing influence from punk rock and other contemporary styles of rock music.
