Glom “Forlorn”

Glom is back with another captivating song! “Forlorn” features uplifting vocals, catchy guitar riffs, and energetic drumming that will have listeners entranced from beginning to end. The start of “Forlorn” keeps airy and light while around mid-song we get some vocal effects that change up the tune, all while still keeping the dance-worthy vibes. Glom excels in creating bright, down to earth sounds that will fit perfectly in anyone’s indie rock playlist. After seeing this band live at Rockwood Music Hall (NYC) myself, I would encourage anyone in the surrounding area to keep an eye out for their next show! The same vibrant feelings you hear from each song can be felt throughout the entire audience, creating a fun filled atmosphere that anyone can enjoy.

On July 26, 2019, Brooklyn based indie/alt rock band Glom released their highly anticipated debut LP, Bond. The record encapsulates a three-year songwriting journey through musings on the past and the future, through nostalgia for better days behind and hope for growth ahead.

Founders Sean Christian and Peter Warren were writing songs for a year and a half before they found a sound they felt expressed the feelings of entering young adulthood and looking back on a decade-long friendship. The 10 song LP is what was born of that sound, and is a collection of songs that emphasize reaction, reflection, and reaffirmation, delivered with a unique and lush production from another old friend of Sean and Peter’s, Sahil Ansari. The music was recorded in Brooklyn, New York at Ansari’s studio space on Bond Street in Gowanus between mid-summer and fall 2018.

Prior to moving to Brooklyn, Glom formed in the DC area and draws upon 90s alternative rock influences to deliver a familiar sound in a new way. The band released their debut single, Tell Me Who to Be, to critical acclaim this past Winter followed by additional singles Stuck, 4:1 and My Red Spine that demonstrated the range found within their sound. The band will celebrate the LP release with a show at Rockwood in NYC on July 27th with more tour dates to be announced soon.
