A romping, stomping ode to the end of the night- that’s what you’ll find in Andrew Phelan’s “That’s How.” Straight from the first note, Phelan’s strong resonant vocals command your attention. The full band soon kicks in with a commanding energy, turning what originally felt like a heartbroken ballad into a downtempo shanty. The lyrics are simple, making it easy to sing along with the vocal harmonies. Phelan’s lyrics are somehow whimsical and lighthearted yet reflective. It’s a song about your friends over-drinking, and yet theirs a sort of pensive finality in the whole thing. But I digress! Don’t overthink this one- it’s a seriously fun slice of folksy Americana rock, so grab your drinking buddies and get singing!
