Angsty and edgy vocal production on “Stable Now” which makes me believe the song was written directly after the songwriter believed they became stable but aren’t totally sold on the idea. Minimalistic and folk stylistically in arrangement and production “Stable Now” might be for fans of Brand New or any pop-punk emo band that goes acoustic. The songs lyrics are introspective and questioning and unsure of themselves which to some could be charming, stream “Stable Now” by Covey below.
MORE ON THE ARTIST:
Combining often unusual, yet emotionally resonant lyrics, distinctly raw vocals and an indie-pop sensibility, Covey is the creation of British multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Tom Freeman. Covey’s upcoming album Some Cats Live, Some Cats Die was written after a series of hapless circumstances forced Freeman to leave his life in Boston behind and relocate to New York to search for Covey. The slightly distressing, yet strangely beautiful house outside the city in which the album was written has become the symbolic representation and centerpiece of the new project.
