Lost Woods “My Amazon” for those about to take a leap of faith

Lost Woods “My Amazon”, is an uplifting and energetic indie pop song.  The first thing I found I really enjoyed about this is the falsetto part that ensues after the first chorus in a call and response round about way that eventually joins in to settle into the second verse.  The timbre of the overall piece has a jingle jangle that is a good juxtaposition to the lyrics about finding yourself.  This is a song I needed to hear being about to go through a major career change and what will be pretty much choosing to let everyone down in my life by giving up a comfortable office job to pursue what could be an incredible adventure from Los Angeles to NYC.  “My Amazon” is the kind of song that will give you the confidence to take those next steps despite what others think and for that I am grateful for the opportunity to share Lost Woods “My Amazon” with you.  Please find attached streaming and notes from the artist below.

My Amazon is an upbeat, summery, indie pop, sing – along.

Mastered by multi – Grammy award nominee Greg Calbi (The National, St Vincent, Sleater – Kinney, Frightened Rabbit), the single

is a more direct change of pace for the group. ‘My Amazon’ addresses the expectations placed on our lives by others. The uncertainty of

pursuing a creative dream, at the expense of a stable job and financial stability. And the internal

and external battle for acceptance that goes with that.

It features a slew of Australian indie talent on group vocals. Including – Tushar Singh (Tales/Winter Gypsy), Miles Sly (MANE, Wing Defence), Josh Allen (Neon Tetra), Ariya Gabell (Urban Youth), Gabrielle Ballard (Abraska) and a bunch more

My Amazon was written by Lost Woods.
