girlhouse “gen x boyfriend!!” brings some kick-ass energy with her fourth ep titled…. the fourth ep. The lyrics are intimate and sensual and at first the vocal production sounds like it might just be another girlhouse song that is chill but just like the intro it becomes evident Lauren is taking some artistic risks with her music by adding in chant based backing vocals that separate the song “gen x boyfriend” from all previous girlhouse releases. The very short 1:45 track gives strong Avril vibes with its edgy skater vibe. Can’t wait to check out the whole fourth EP. Great job girlhouse!
