Davis Gestiehr’s “Remeron” features big dark add9 chords and an intense set of lyrics that are performed to a sludgy rhythm that maybe indicates the struggle the artist is facing and how hard it is to go on. Right on the line of hard rock and emo fans of both buzz bands like Chevelle could be into this but so could Hawthorne Heights or Superheaven. The brand is on point and the mysterious harmonic textures really make for an enjoyable listen. I loved the slightly out guitar solo, and the way it all faded into feedback. Well done Davis Gestiehr!
