Jacob Humber “Afterlife” is a philosophical indie pop track that hits in the feels and the pulse of the drums gives it an undeniable energy despite some of the mellow instrumentation choices. The vocal layers with octaves really hits in a great way towards the end of “Afterlife”. I also really enjoy the use of explicit language to drive the point home that the advice given isn’t well received. The song is a solid listen if you’ve got untapped angst aimed at someone and need to get it out in a non-damaging way.
