The Sadderdays “Song for Insomnia” is a soft and soothing emo and indie track that features a soft and soothing vocal performance and reflective and calming harmonic arrangement in the guitar work. “Song for Insomnia” really drew me in with the vocal arrangement at the end where the singer is harmonizing in her own sweet but somehow unconfident sounding vocal timbre, and please do not think that I mean unconfident as unpracticed, no to me this timbre is so fitting for a song all about insomnia and heartache to be sung by a band who’s name is a lovely play on words for being sad on the weekend so if anything it’s perfectly on brand. The Sadderdays “Song for Insomnia” is a great coffee track or headphones track.
