Ida Maria “Dirty Money” fuels hardcore punk rock and bad decisions in this angsty good time track that combines R&B and contemporary rock and roll well. The gritty vocal performance combined with the ascending chord progression makes for a listen that will elevate your mood and mind. While Ida Maria isn’t actually California based musician she references locations such as Malibu and adopts a vocal technique often used by SoCal punks though this might be more because of the cigarettes than a chosen technique, for the SoCal punks, Ida Maria has been around for a while doing awesome punk rock music and has recently resurfaced in American pop culture with her music making appearances in TV the Netflix show Big Mouth, if you’re into that throwback track but also interested in hearing an edgier side of Ida Maria check out “Dirty Money” below.
