The lyrical narrative is nostalgic and a little somber or bitter but overall the message is about personal growth and it’s told in a quirky and cute way that really makes the track extra redeeming. Olivia Wendel “Stop & Shop” has a familiar singer songwriter turned soft rock with a nice edge to it that is perfect for kicking back after a long day at work. I love the title because I can relate on a geographic level being from the northeast myself.
