Gus Benson “Write Your Ticket”

Gus Benson “Write Your Ticket” is a fast paced elegant track that displays a sophistication not always found in this brand of indie rock. Something my ears were particularly drawn to was the jazzy chord choices and the soft vibrato and layers of vocal takes that makes it seem like there are a lot of Gus Bensons. It’s a song that has characteristics of classics like “Isn’t She Lovely” with indie sensibility like Two Door Cinema Club. Definitely worth a listen if you’re looking for a vocalist that takes themselves a bit more seriously.
