Pretending to be someone else is never good but when someone admits that they are trying to be someone else it allows for personal growth. Rupe “box fan” does exactly this in a cool hip lo-fi bedroom producer kind of way. The vocal timbre harkens to pop-punk icons while the washed out production makes for a later 2010s feel.
