JW Francis “All There”

I finally listened to the whole JW Francis record top to bottom today and it was a great vibe that had consistent production quality the whole way through. JW Francis has been carving out his sonic identity as a slightly affected singer with a slightly affected but mostly clean guitar and some muffled drums. To me JW Francis represents everything right with the DIY NYC scene where too often bands come in too hot for the room they performing in whereas JW Francis I imagine does it just right. I’ve definitely YouTubed a few concerts and I’ve covered most of his tracks at this point so if you know me and the blog you know I’m going to recommend this to you. Here’s to hoping we can all catch a show of JWs in 2021.
