Introducing Quiet Houses “Pool”, a charming and organic song that lyrically is a bit of an angsty storytelling shrug that follows it up with a sort of at I’m good at something and that just so happens to be billiards. Of course Quiet Houses is actually quite good at writing songs as well. I’ll have this one on repeat during a chilly fall day with some pumpkin spiced coffee. I can imagine Quiet Houses doing pretty well in the states and hopefully when the country gets its act together they’ll come through to the big apple. Check out “Pool” below!
MORE ON THE ARTIST:
Quiet Houses are a Manchester based indie-folk duo made up of Hannah Elliott (vocals, violin, keyboards) and Jamie Stewart (guitar, vocals). After forming in early 2018, the pair started writing songs rooted in the wistful folk sound-world of Laura Marling and Fleet Foxes and the quirky lyricism of indie songwriters Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile.
