“The Norm” by Juno Arcade is the birth of a rock and roll act who writes songs that are driving instrumentally and introspective lyrically. The way the male and female vocal timbres play off each other is enjoyable and the music video to accompany it reminds me of when I was interviewing at different labels in Los Angeles and NYC and the big flat screen televisions they’d have out front playing music videos from their catalog. The song dynamically goes a distance but the production and compression keeps it tight so that the building is mostly kept at an emotional and harmonic level.
