Surf rock meets pop punk meets a band that has been known to have some progressive concepts in the past with tracks like “Notion” or “Mercy Mercy“. “Set It Right” combines elements of hard rock, punk, surf rock and indie rock into an interesting listen that takes the listener on a journey. Something I really enjoyed about “Set It Right” is the layers of harmonies throughout a large portion of the track. It’s a short and to the point listen at only two and a half minutes, “Set It Right” is a familiar instrumentation thrashing its way into 2020.
The Rare Occasions are in the final stages of recording a double EP they plan to release in two parts throughout 2020.
