Gold Spectacles is the collaborative output of two British songwriter/producers, making sounds and art from their modest home studio. Drawing on an eclectic range of influences from Paul Simon to Phoenix to Lykke Li and favouring a DIY approach, Gold Spectacles make baroque-pop. Sharing the writing, recording and production responsibilities, and creating the visuals and artwork, the pair do everything “in-house”. Since Autumn ‘18, Gold Spectacles have been shedding a song a month in tune with the lunar calendar. This November sees the release the duo’s self-titled debut album.
