Bowling For Soup “Holding On To That Hate” harkens back to the sound of “Shut Up and Smile” with cute piano licks and songs about realizing you don’t have to be an asshole and you should be positive. It’s the classic tried and true sound but I can hear the addition of Rob Felicetti singing back ups. When I saw these guys at Irving Plaza for their anniversary show of A Hangover You Didn’t Deserve it was like everything came back to me, every lyric, every melody. Jaret is a prolific songwriter and a force to be reckoned with, one of the best rock vocalists of all time, nuff said.
