Jake Huffman “The Endofme”

“The Endofme” closes the new EP from Jake Huffman like a dream you can’t quite wake from. The wonderful synth work adds to the dreaminess of the music and is soothing and powerful at the same time. “The Endofme” was born out of a strange and difficult season. During recording, he was plagued by ocular migraines and vivid lucid dreams that blurred the line between sleeping and waking. These trying times for your friend Jake birthed a great piece of powerful pop songwriting.

The production choices reflect that tension. The vocals arrive like gritty fragments of thought, surrounded by shifting harmonics and floating synthesizers.

Fans of Djo, SYML, or Cautious Clay will find familiar territory in the mood: warm yet isolating, cinematic but deeply internal. There’s a clarity in how it embraces discomfort, turning pain into atmosphere, and fear into melody.

Jake isn’t an artist new to invention. His past work has charted nationally (#31 on commercial radio), earned honors from ISC and HIMA, and soundtracked everything from Sesame Street to SportsNation. He’s toured widely, shared stages with major acts, and played festivals like Mountain Jam, but here, the ambition turns inward.
