Sitting at a longer than average 4:33 “Friendly Fire In The Suburbs” embraces pop in a way that reminds me of artists such as The Killers or The Gaslight Anthem. The vocalists dreamy melody has embellishments during the verses and pulls the listener in with a powerful compelling set of lyrics during the choruses.
