Stray Fossa “I Was There”

Stray Fossa “I Was There” is a dreamy bedroom pop track with jangly soothing e-guitars, a percussive acoustic guitar and some light bowed instrumentation. “I Was There” is a song to me that wears rose colored glasses and floats around lost in time. The artwork depicts surreal dreamy nature that blend into nothingness in an unsettling but enchanting way that pulls the viewer in. A focus cut from their third album Blossomer, “I Was There” arrives wrapped in artwork by visual designer Melissa Santamaría (Sufjan Stevens, Flying Lotus). It’s dreamy, bittersweet, and uncomfortably honest. The track drifts with a hazy intimacy, balancing shimmering textures with a kind of quiet ache, like looking back at a picture and realizing you can’t remember what it felt like to be there. our third full-length album Blossomer is out in ONE week ꕤ We recorded this over the span of one sweaty July last year in the living room where we started playing music together in 2007 (what..) – it was a trip. Can’t wait for all 10 tracks to be yours 𑁍 If you are into vinyl please consider picking up one of these on pre-sale on strayfossa.com – the sunburst vinyl is a super limited run and only available through end of August.. even if you aren’t into vinyl, the art is too cool to pass up ♡ Thank you to everyone who has been listening along the way ✿ #strayfossa #blossomer #dreampop #recordingmusic #diystudio
