Getting Started “30 Years” is a great track, between the driving drums and the accompanying bowed instrumentation plus the honest heartfelt lyrics it’s the perfect bridge between indie rock and indie folk. “30 Years” hits me especially as someone who just turned this age a couple years ago and yet has an older brother and remembers this moment of looking at him thinking I was getting older but then he looks so young and …ya age can be a bit ambiguous after early twenties and all the way through your forties. This song is a perfect arrangement with the hi-hat opening up to let the energy out at all the right times, the vocal harmonies come in for those moments that Getting Started don’t want you to forget.
