Birdie Swann Sisters & King Black Acid weave a hazy dreamscape of swirling synths, lo-fi guitars, and vintage drum machines. Their debut collaboration bends 80’s dream pop and soulful 70’s grooves into a lush, psychedelic shimmer, anchored by a gorgeous, hypnotic chorus and trippy visuals that linger long after the song fades. I truly love the line “I’m a Hurricane” in the way it’s presented and I especially love the visuals in this, they’re wild. I love the way the chorus runs through a filter and delay right before the song comes to a hault with the main characters head on fire.
