“stay close by” starts with fuzzy baritone guitar warmth that wraps around the listener like a blanket as Tamar laments about their struggles with loneliness. The choice to film the music video in a public botanical garden and then in isolation in a meadow plays nicely into the lyrics. The heavy shoegaze track is a nice addition to the genre and is gorgeous in a way that it knows how beautiful it is and it’s fine without the worlds acceptance, or at least this is my opinion of music that doesn’t adhere to pop writing. Incredible psychedelic guitar solo pulls the listener into the a down chorus to close “stay close by”. Well done Tamar Berk, this is a fantastic new shoegaze song!
