Dave Gutter “The elephant in the room” is a fun track with sinister lyrics but an infectiously uplifting instrumental track that is surfy and major to support a scratchy vocal that is endearing. The lush textures in the instrumental arrangement include a full brass section, synths, guitars, bass, drums, percussion and so much more, the bridge even features a panned sitar which is super cool. The production goes all out for the Grammy winning songwriter. The track is from the debut full length the Music Industry is Trying to Kill Me. Dave Gutter really didn’t hold back with creating an epic journey in this track, the culminating Beatles-esque drum fill outro is so cool and something I feel like I haven’t heard in a while!
