Mixed by Brett Romnes (Oso Oso) and mastered by Mike Kalajian (All Time Low), “My Eyes” would be at home next to bands like The Story So Far, Joyce Manor, Mom Jeans and other emo acts. The instrumentation is a familiar two guitars, bass, drummer performance and the performances are incredibly well captured. 40 Lashes is definitely a group to keep an eye on if they can keep pushing out music with this depth of songwriting combined with mix quality etc. I’d love to see some music videos for their tracks!
