Cat Ridgeway “What If?” has a dope arrangement of folk and electronic influence, the bass is hyper distorted but there’s a banjo? So cool! Getting ethereal Modest Mouse vibes from when they sang about the universe like “3rd planet” era. The “whoops” in “What If?” do give it a bit of a commercial folk flair like the Lumineers. The mix and production is admirable, everything is so clear and crisp on “What If?”. I feel this one in my soul, great tune from Cat Ridgeway. Does go a bit Lion King soundtrack at the end with all those “what if” with the harmony and rhythmic pattern.
