Pale Grey “Syd” is a gorgeous and atmospheric indie track with a cinematic and soothing music video is a slightly heartbreaking tale of a vocalist throwing in the towel because of disillusionment. It’s important to remember that musicianship and the music industry are very different things and while lightning strikes every year for a couple golden songs that receive budget, production and are well written the industry often misses and there’s lots of incredible music that doesn’t have much budget comparatively, at least that’s how I listened to the song. The falsetto chorus is vulnerable and absolutely gorgeous, a very easy track to fall in love with.
