Fuzzysurf “I Don’t Wanna Be Nothing Anymore” is a groovy tune with a familiar harmonic quality and a woozy synth that leads into a mid-filtered vocal. What drew me in initially to the track was how chaotic the lush instrumentation is, “I Don’t Wanna Be Nothing Anymore” bursts full of synths, bells, busy bass performing and a groove that changes section to section. The album artwork is kind of funny, I don’t totally get it but it’s intriguing to see those green chameleons in suits guffawing and drinking martinis. The band Fuzzysurf self-describes the song as “A song about turning away from superficial validation and finding inner validation by creating a deep meaningful relationship”.
