Meyru “Georgia Says” is a beautiful indie rock track with warm fuzzy guitars and while the rhythm is danceable and the overall feel of the instrumental is alt-rock festival loud the vocals are soft and soothing with falsettos and light vocal fry.
Personally I love the dynamic variation towards the end with the acoustic guitar making a brief appearance twice to leave a whole bunch of space.
“Georgia Says” has a break-up and starting over narrative that fits well with coming of age which of course is happening every damn day for some people. Big props to the vocalist on being able to hold that falsetto chorus note so well, it’s infectious sounding.
