The Breakables “Local Radio Sunday Proud” is a beautiful track that I’d describe as baroque pop because of the slightly unusual instrumentation combined with a familiar indie rock sound. “Local Radio Sunday Proud” has a set of lyrics that are vivid and introspective while also maintaining a very personal story. Something that drew me in was the pre-chorus guitar shredding. For fans of artists like Ben Folds, Air Quotes, or Death Cab.
I rarely hear a harpsichord in pop-rock songwriting and this was very well used, the classical style does almost give “Local Radio Sunday Proud” a holiday feel so be sure to add it to your playlists!
