Corner Sun “Colorblind Melodies” & “Muddy” from “…and eat it too”

“Colorblind Melodies” to me was a diss-track for an ex who lived with their head in the sand. Brooding instrumental and lyrics follow melodies that are lively in motion. The verses and choruses rise and fall dynamically in a familiar way, and the bridge is a tone shift with some neat guitar melodies. The raw production is indie and awesome and judging by the band’s members’ total of six they can probably pull off some of the larger-than-life vocal arrangements that come later in the song.

“Muddy” starts with a beautiful organ intro that flows through a verse into a ripping bass solo with a really cool wah/phaser effect. The big country-rock style vocals that follow are hard-hitting and have a ton of Nashville flavor. “Muddy” also features a ripping guitar solo, it’s clear that Corner Sun wants to let every member throw a punch in their track “Muddy”. Similar to “Colorblind Melodies” the vocal arrangements are trippy and beautiful and full of motion, including some fun panning work.

Definitely go check out the band’s EP and show them so much love on socials below!
