Anjoli Simone’s “Inside Voice” is a coming-of-age angsty rock track. The vocalist Anjoli channels a sort of Lily Alan timbre but with larger walls of guitar and punchier drums than you’d hear on a record of Lily’s. The production of “Inside Voice” rises and falls dynamically between sections and the use of additional percussion on the second verse creates a nice arrangement choice before the massive galloping shift.
