Slipped Off Silk’s “Again & Again!” is a groovy power pop track with soaring synth melodies and crooning indie vocals. Slipped off Silk, based out of Northville, MI, is the solo project of indie rock artist, Jonathan Martin. Slipped off Silk utilizes layered vocals and rousing choruses to achieve an alternative rock-pop sound that has been featured by tastemakers both at home and abroad. Musical influences include Death Cab for Cutie, The Bravery, and The Shins to name a few. Personally, I really hear the Bravery in this one more than anything else or early Death Cab like “Presidents of What”. Bursting with infectious hooks and familiar but unique melodic takes “Again & Again!” is a song you can listen to again and again without growing tired of it. Nice job Slipped Off Silk.
