Proper Youth’s “Modern Cowboy” is a beautiful soft rock track that has an unusual distinctive baritone vocal performance supported by a large and dimly lit band. Add some dreamy brass and a tight groove with atmospheric guitar layers and you’ve got an outlaw anthem. Originally split between Ann Arbor and Brooklyn the band came together in Louisville to record and write which was enough to convince the Ann Arbor duo to move to Brooklyn and record right here in Bedstuy!
