“Laggard” was another beautiful gem in the growing discography of A Days Wait. Lyrically this has a poignant message of waiting too long to appreciate the people in our lives. The production style is classic pop rock with a driving familiar drum beat, high-energy chorus and some vocals that, for me, are reminiscent of Phil Collins vocals in the Tarzan soundtrack. The last thirty seconds of the track are the highest energy in the song with a crash ride taking “Laggard” into overdrive.
Artist Quote
“This song is about those “”sacred souls” and the ones who are too slow to see their light!”
