Anna Tivel’s “Desperation” is a beautiful song that culminates in a jam that features lush textures and gorgeously performed vocals. A chamber-pop song that has all the organic textures you’d expect from a Portland, OR-based artist. Anna Tivel has received tip of the hats from Pitchfork as well as NPR and although we’re a much smaller publication we’re happy to include a thumbs up for this artist as they create. One thing I really love is the staccato synth that has such the perfect amount of modulation attached.
