Dead Pages “Breakfast on the Grass” is a dark and mysterious folk rock track with gorgeous harmonies. The lush vocal harmonies and lyrics about nature are a perfect folk visualizer. Also, I loved the line “I’m not your clementine” it’s so adorable but lines about “Are you afraid, I’m hostile” were really what kept the darkness and there’s a subtle texture that is a piano off in the right headphone that appears around 2:00 among other spots in the song and then is followed by what sounds like a guitar swell closer to 2:20 that really gives it an unsettling but enchanting texture. Give Dead Pages “Breakfast on the Grass” some love below.
