Ida Mae’s “American Cars” is a sexy rock and roll track that has fat guitar riffs with the perfect amount of tension. The drums are large but are produced in an organic way that isn’t always found in current music. The vocalist channels their inner Chris Cornell to create a ripping track that should be blasting at every car show this year when they pull out the muscle cars. “American Cars” reminds me of taking the mufflers off a California Mustang V8 and chasing sound waves through the Boston tunnels half stoned smoking a cigarette listening to classic rock. “American Cars” kicks ass.
