Graham Farrow Knibb’s “Reno” is a wonderfully intimate Americana track written as a love song for the party city of Reno. Cinematic and bluesy “Reno” offers an authentic and organic perspective on the great Western lifestyle of people on the fringe of society. The lyrics in “Reno” are so vivid and based on narrative that it’s transportive and fun to listen to. Clearly a very talented band with beautifully performed call and response vocals and lap steel and the drummer and bassist that really just hangs in the pocket and keeps time in a way that makes “Reno” timeless. “Reno” deserves a spot in a movie.
