Grrrl Gang’s “Rude Awakening” is a kickass indie rock track that features a set of lyrics about feeling like an outsider who’s never listened to. However, the familiar form of the track with the ride cymbals on the choruses is being worked into by the opening of the hi-hat is something everyone can get into. The bouncy nature of the track accompanied with the music video which really helps the tale of the track is great. “Rude Awakening” is a song that I can see going international pretty easily with its jangly writing and production.
