The emotion is palpable in the vocalist’s performance which contains both voice cracks and vocal fry in this strained sort of way that really could bring a tear to the listener’s eye and makes you feel like you’re with the band. Gorgeous lead guitar lines and familiar harmonic qualities as well as bouncy drums give “Waiting on Angels” a really close-to-home feel.
