It gives the Smiths vibes but in a way that is much more heartland. The call-and-response guitar lines to the vocals are enchanting and the harmonies come in at the right times to give each line a unique punch. Mainland Break “Calling After” is the kind of tune you want to have on during a sunny day at the lake or poolside. “Calling After” despite the lyrical concept is a song that is very bright and upbeat and definitely made me feel great.
