Johnny Cisneros’s “Cuando No Estas Aqui” is an indie pop that features a wide variety of styles such as synthpop and garage rock as well as having lyrics in both English and Spanish. The production at times feels really polished during the synthpop sections, think Beach House, and at other times feels dirty and edgy, think “Kids With Guns” by the Gorillaz verses. The soaring “oohs” feels like it came out of a Wavves record. Overall this track is an awesome combination of everything alternative that I like.
